Not every lubricant job is a lubrication job

"Industrial lubricant" covers very different needs, and buying the wrong class is a common and expensive mistake. Broadly:

• Running lubricants — bearing greases, gear and hydraulic oils — reduce friction between surfaces in continuous motion. Chosen by viscosity, load and temperature.
• Assembly and service lubricants — anti-seize, thread compounds, contact greases — make parts go together and come apart cleanly.
• Protective films — moisture-displacing anticorrosion and dielectric fluids — protect metal and electrics from the environment rather than reducing friction.

Much of what fails in the field is not a friction failure. It is a corrosion or moisture failure on parts that barely move: fasteners, terminals, stored equipment, panels, tooling. For those, a running lubricant is the wrong tool — the job needs a protective film.

Two protective formulations, not a catalogue

We do not sell a wall of products. We supply two protective formulations that cover the failures a running-lubricant range leaves open:

• Anticorrosion — a moisture-displacing film that stops rust on any exposed or serviced metal for 12 months per application.
• Dielectric — an insulating moisture-protection fluid that restores and protects electrical and electronic equipment without disassembly.

Both share a 65% high-purity base oil, 5% anticorrosion additive, 5% antioxidant composition with paraffin and naphthene hydrocarbons, and synthetic-base variants for low temperature.

Buying as raw material, not retail

The distinction that matters for procurement: a running-lubricant supplier sells you finished retail SKUs. We sell raw material — the formulation itself — in 1,000 L IBC totes and 200 L drums, worldwide from the EU, by quote, with private-label filling available. For operations that consume protection by the litre, that is the difference between a shelf of cans and a supply contract.

Anti-corrosion vocabulary for procurement teams

The search-and-spec landscape uses overlapping terms worth untangling. Anti-corrosion and anti corrosion label the whole category; a rust inhibitor prevents oxidation on ferrous metal specifically; a metal lubricant may or may not protect at all — many pure lubricants carry no inhibitor package and wash off. Corrosion block products are consumer-format films of the same family as industrial displacement chemistry, at can-scale pricing. Rust and corrosion inhibitors as a purchasing category divide by mechanism: film-formers (persistent barriers, our territory), passivators (chemical surface conversion), and VCI (vapour-phase for enclosed spaces). When a specification says heavy duty corrosion inhibitor, ask which mechanism and which test standard — the phrase itself has no defined threshold. The practical procurement move is always the same: convert marketing vocabulary into chamber-hours, coverage rates and compatibility blocks, then validate the shortlist on your own metal.
